The Food and Agriculture Export Alliance (FAEA) was created in May 2004 to achieve greater cooperation and effectiveness in market access among meat, poultry, dairy, feed grains and soybean organizations and private sector agriculture input providers.

Since 2004, funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and FAEA member organizations is being used to advance international food and feed safety laws and regulations in accordance with science-based international standards in over 10 countries in Asia and Africa.
